Graduation
Graduation Portraits
These portraits come out so cute. I have students stand up with their portrait during our Graduation Ceremony (which is held in our classroom) and tell everyone what they want to be when they grow up!

Students practiced symmetry.
Earth Day Bulletin Board
Another board from my co-worker.
Students used blue and green paint.
Easter
This Easter Basket is made out of a gallon milk jug. Students decorated the Bunny with pipe cleaners for the whiskers, a fuzzy ball nose and goggly eyes. Kids weaved the fence with brown construction paper. We asked parents to donate one bag of grass and one bag of Easter candy. The Parent Room stuffed the eggs with the candy and taped them shut. Next we put student initials on 10 eggs each. Finally we had a big Easter Egg Hunt on the playground. Kids looked for eggs with their initials but ended up recognizing their friends egg too! In the background you can see a basket from the back view. Kids held the jug by the handle.
Below is an Easter Bunny Cake made out of 2 round pans.

Classroom Library
Classroom Library
This is my 5th year teaching and this past summer I finally sorted my classroom library. Target had these colorful bins in the $2.50 shelves during the Back to School sales.
(Opps the bins in the first picture are actually from Dollar Tree but the rest of them below that are from Target.)
Then I figured out what categories I wanted. I searched the internet for clip art that I wanted to represent each category. When that was decided I started working on my labels. Each book has a mailing label with the same picture that is shown on the bins. This way my kinders will know exactly where to return the books to.
Labels above are:
- Disney
- Favorite Characters
- Songs & Rhymes
- Berenstain Bears
- Science
- Math
- Character Education
Lables above are:
- Fiction Animals
- Books about Kids
- Insects
- Dr. Seuss
- Famous Americans
- Community Helpers
Labels above are:
- Solar System
- School
- Non-Fiction Animals
- Cars & Trucks
- Cats and Dogs
- Dinosaurs
Labels above are:
- Nutrition & Fitness
- Eric Carle
- Gardens & Trees
- ABC's

Valentine's Day Gift for Parents
You Hold My Heart In Your Hands
We completed this project in 2 days. One day for the first hand to dry and the second day for the other hand. The little paper says "You hold my heart in your hands". I had them laminated so they can last forever!

Book Boxes
Book Boxes
These Book Boxes are made out of cereal boxes! One cereal box makes two book boxes which helps for those students who cannot bring one. The reading program used at my school is Success for All (SFA). We read the Shared Stories pictured for four days each. When students are done they store them in these Book Boxes. By the end of the school year students take home their full Book Box and have a wonderful collection to read over the summer. Students loved decorating them! Check out the character from Nightmare Before Christmas!
I will add a copy just as soon as I get that part figured out! LOL!
Tissue Kids
Tissue Kids
I did this at the beginning of the school year. Students used tissue paper squares to decorate themselves.
My Love List
Students created a list of things they love.
After they were finished they decorated their tissue paper hearts.
Students wrapped a pre-cut tissue paper square around their pencil tops.
Students rub their glue sticks on the end.
