Meet Your Teacher Freebie

Meet Your Teacher Day & a Freebie
Our school's Meet Your Teacher was held the day before school started. It was also held during our regular contract hours which was nice. The weekend before I started my search for a cute candy gift to give my new kinders after they completed a scavenger hunt. While at Party City to pick up some hanging decoration to use with my table headers I came across these ICEE squeeze candies.  That's when I came up with the idea to substitute "I See" with ICEE! Check .out the way they came out! This year my classroom has a chevron theme so of course I had to add chevron to the labels! If you use these, my Party City had them 5 for $1

Chevron Table Signs on Manic Monday

Table Signs FREEBIE!
How do you label your tables? Since I teach kindergarten I've always labled them by color. I love getting coordinating baskets to go with a table color. I just finished the ones I'm using in my classroom this school year. I changed from a zebra and monkey theme to a chevron and ?? theme. Not really sure yet if I'm going to add an animal and which one I'd add. I've seen cute little birdies that coordinate well with chevron but just not sure yet. I do have to hurry as next week I start a Kinder Jump Start program at my school. Either way I just thought I'd share these with you! I have both the chalkboard theme and a ink saving white frame included in the download. Enjoy!

Here's the table by color with the chalkboard frames. I love them!

For those of you all that do your table by number, this is what they look like.

"How We Go Home" Transportation Clip Chart on Manic Monday

The end of the day is an exciting time in classrooms. Students are scrambling to get their things into their backpacks, cleaning up, putting chairs up, stacking them or whatever system you have in your classroom. This little FREEBIE is a nice visual to your students and even when you have substitute teachers in your classroom. Attach a cute ribbon and hang only the ones necessary for your school/classroom and add to your class decor!

My Kindergarten Classroom 2012-2013

Here is a glimpse of my new classroom at my new school days before school started back on August 6th:

Two Pinterest projects can be seen here. First my "no sew" curtains made with a clever little thing called "stitch witch". Then I have "My 1st Day of Kindergarten" frame.

My Word Wall another Pinterest project. I created the ABC letter which can be found in my TPT store and used scrapbook paper to make the banner. This Word Wall is magnetic so students can take the word they need to their desk to copy.
My Focus Wall and small group teaching table.
I have a connecting door to my teammate!
Love my built-in cubbies!

Yay! I got a SmartBoard! You can also see my Class Library and standards pocket chart. The banner says Common Core.

Rearranged boards due to my OCD. I wanted the charts to be lower so they could be interactive. You can also see a glimpse of my Dr. Seuss quote besides the clock: Think and Wonder. Wonder and Think.

Tissue Kids

Tissue Kids
I did this at the beginning of the school year. Students used tissue paper squares to decorate themselves.
